Welcome to all visitors and members to the official JKA Brisbane South Dojo website. We are proudly part of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) Shotokan Karate. My name is Mike Connolly and I hope our site gives you all the information you need for interest or to make an informed decision to join and learn JKA Shotokan Karate. We have 2 Dojo's in the South of Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) of which you can attend any one or both as suits your needs. There will be normal training at 9am on Saturday the 26th February 2011 at the Acacia Ridge dojo, followed immediately with a Dan Grading.

Sensei Mike was officially invited by JKA HQ to sit for Dan Grading rights in October 2010 at the Japan Fall Gasshuku. Congratulations Sensei on successfully passing this examination.

Congratulations to Sensei Mike Connolly (5th Dan) and Sensei Nga Connolly (3rd Dan) for their JKA examinations in Tokyo, April 2010. Sensei Nga now has D level instructor, D level examiner and D level judging certificates. Sensei Mike is now a D level examiner and C level instructor, in addition to his C class judging certificate.
